You are dwarves digging for gold in the depths of a mine when suddenly, the pick-axe breaks, and the lantern goes out. The saboteur has struck again! But who is the saboteur and will he (or they!) stop you from reaching the treasure? If you succeed gold awaits you. If you don't, then to the victor goes the spoils. Whoever has the most gold nuggets after three rounds is the winner.
This game has among us vibes except you can't vote the saboteur out even when its blatantly obvious who it is.
The first time we played this game it was a little disappointing, the mechanics were clear but it was far too easy for the dwarves to win (the saboteur) to lose. That meant the winner was decided on luck and not in a fun way.
However, after playing a few more times we soon learned this was not always the case and we learned how to win as both parties. After we had done so the game was very enjoyable.
It is quick to set up and play and not too taxing on the brain.
Note: I have only played this with 3 players thus far, for public health reasons. I feel this game would get a little boring if played lots with only 3 players however I imagine it would be more exciting and enjoyable with more players.
Best with 7. Very enjoyable game
Great fun for kids all ages (8+). Easy to learn but with enough intrigue to keep players engaged again and again
Fun game involving thinking skills and tactics.
Awesome entertainment!
