Waterdeep, the City of Splendors – the most resplendent jewel in the Forgotten Realms, and a den of political intrigue and shady back-alley dealings. In this game, the players are powerful lords vying for control of this great city. Its treasures and resources are ripe for the taking, and that which cannot be gained through trickery and negotiation must be taken by force!
In Lords of Waterdeep, a strategy board game for 2-5 players, you take on the role of one of the masked Lords of Waterdeep, secret rulers of the city. Through your agents, you recruit adventurers to go on quests on your behalf, earning rewards and increasing your influence over the city. Expand the city by purchasing new buildings that open up new actions on the board, and hinder – or help – the other lords by playing Intrigue cards to enact your carefully laid plans.

Very quick delivery and very impressive game!
This is a worker placement style game set in the world of D&D. It is playable with 2 although works better with more players as alliances can form and strategies develop better. The game is very well produced, and is quick for everyone to pick up. One round will quickly get everyone up to speed, and after that then the rivalries and strategies can develop. Games last about an hour so it is not a huge time commitment, and it is a very sociable game to play too. Highly recommended.
Service from boardgamer.ie was also excellent.
Really adds to the main game and totally worth every penny.
Excellent service, very fast delivery to Cork, would definitely recommend and use them again.
Basically what every board game expansion should attempt to be. A welcome addition that makes what was a fun if dry board game into a more enjoyable one, adding mechanics that work well with the base game. It feels as though the game now has a nice risk and reward element and introduces more counterplay through corruption and intrigue cards.
