Great stuff
Great service, ordered and delivered within 24 hours, everything in perfect condition. Setting up the game is simple and enjoyable as you have the excitement of revealing the cards that you will begin your game with. The gameplay rules are straightforward but also watching a play through on YouTube ain't a bad idea either. I've only done one play through so far and I'm already hooked further expansions will definitely add to excitement.
I’ve been playing Arkham Horror LCG with the same 2 friends since it started but because of Covid-19 movement and distancing restrictions we could no longer hold our regular gaming nights so I went looking for some solo games to get my board game fix. Was never really into dice games so I hadnt looked at Elder sign before but because it could be played solo I went for it. It really doesn’t disappoint and I was surprised about how much I actually like the dice mechanics. The adventures/ card texts etc remain true to the Lovecraft mythos. Because 8 can play, I’ll definitely be introducing it to the wider game night to give them a taste of what they’re missing with the LCG. Thanks again to Boardgamer for fantastic service and speedy delivery during what is extremely difficult times!!
A great game. Easy to play but engaging as you attempt to subvert the ancient evil coming through and destroying the world. A lot of luck as it's diced based, but that leads to many dramatic last gasp single roll of the dice moments to survive. And there is valid strategies and good/bad decisions to be made by the players so it still requires thought. It's even good solo!
Elder sign is a cooperative dice rolling game with a supernatural theme similar to other dice rolling games such as Star Trek 5 Year Mission (also great) and Gameswright's simple but fun Roll-for-it, which is a great introduction to these types of games. Elder Sign can be hard to find so if you find a copy in stock, would recommend picking up a copy.
