Great service and extremely fast delivery. We have enjoyed the game and played it a few times now. Everything arrived in perfect condition and we received the order the day after delivery, we were surprised to receive everything so fast and in great condition.
Amazing delivery, incredibly quick and item arrived in perfect condition.
I've yet to try this with just two players but with a group it's so entertaining and requires a lot of thinking and strategy! A little daunting when you first open the box and see all the pieces, cards and decks but it's very easy to pick up and we've even thrown in a few of our own house rules!
Sentinels of the Multiverse lets you play a group of superheroes pitched against a boss villain and its minions. Players must work together using a personal deck of cards representing the powers of your hero. Though you can solo the game or play it with just two, the game really only starts to work with three players and works best with four or five, as it really is quite tough to win. You have to understand how your hero works to play it well. If you play more than one hero (which is how you solo it or play with two) you have to split your focus, and you also lose a little bit of the atmosphere. I'd imagine that with time you'd get to know the characters better and then it would be fine. But it's great thematic fun, with decent card art and a nice epic battle feel. The base game does give you enough heroes, villains, and locations to play out of the box without expanding, but there are expansions and you'll probably want more if you get hooked. This is not a collectible card came though, and there's no 'deck building' to it (which is part of the appeal - you can play it out of the box and no one will have a better box than you: they might have more heroes and villains, but you don't mix and match powers - it's not Magic the Gathering). So if you enjoy a bit of superhero action and want a quick(ish) and entertaining card based action game, then this is for you.
