Patchwork Americana is the new edition of the highly acclaimed game by renowned designer Uwe Rosenberg. The original Patchwork is one of Lookout’s biggest hits, and this Americana Edition brings the same great two-player fun in an all-new style. Patchwork Americana introduces new art and components inspired by the quilting communities of the United States. In the game, each player works.
In Patchwork, two players compete to build the most aesthetic (and high-scoring) patchwork quilt on a personal 9x9 game board. To start play, lay out all of the patches at random in a circle and place a marker directly clockwise of the 2-1 patch. Each player takes five buttons — the currency/points in the game — and someone is chosen as the start player.
To create a beautiful quilt, however, requires effort and time, but the available patches just do not want to fit together. So choose your patches carefully and keep a healthy supply of buttons to not only finish your quilt, but to make it better and more beautiful than your opponent‘s.
