Following along the same lines as its predecessor (Agricola), Caverna: Cave Farmers is a worker-placement game at heart, with a focus on farming. Players begin the game with a farmer and his spouse, and each member of the farming family represents an action that the player can take each turn. Players can also expand their family while running an ever-growing farm.

Caverna: Cave Farmers is a complete redesign of Agricola that substitutes the card decks from the former game with a set of buildings while adding the ability to purchase weapons and send your farmers on quests to gain further resources. Designer Uwe Rosenberg says that the game includes parts of Agricola, but also has new ideas, especially the cave part of your game board, where you can build mines and search for rubies. The game also includes two new animals: dogs and donkeys.

    Great game, very well made,

Great game, very well made, most pieces are wooden. Game is similar to Agricola but its easier to start with. Game is well explained in game manual. First game might be slow but after that you really start to enjoy this game. I have played it few times with my friends and in every game i had to go with different strategy. Well spend money!

    Great Game

This is a great, medium weight, worker placement game which works very well for 2 people (and more, but I usually play with 2). There are always good options available on your turn but it's still hard to pick between them making you really feel like every decision matters, and giving you ideas for improving on your next play. The theme is interesting enough and components are some of the best I've seen for a game. Instantly one of my all time favourites and definitely recommended.
