Rule over ancient Ireland in Inis!
Inis invites you to experience the magnificent deeds of Irish myth as you explore the island's enchanted landscape and claim territory for your clans.
Inis is a game deeply rooted in Celtic history and lore in which players win by being elected King of the Island (Inis). Players can try to achieve one of three different victory conditions:
- Leadership: Be the leader — i.e., have more clan figures than any other player — of territories containing at least six opponents' clans.
- Land: Have your clans present in at least six different territories.
- Religion: Have your clans present in territories that collectively contain at least six shrines.
Over the course of the game, players also earn deeds, typically chanted by bards or engraved by master crafters, that reduce by one the magic total of six for any condition. While one victory condition is enough to claim the title of King, a game of experienced players usually has a tight balance of power, emphasizing the leadership of the capital of the island.

Really fun and challenging game
Myself and my partner took a bit of a gamble getting this, as it's a good quality game with a price-tag to match but we are glad we did.
We're both fans of gaming and celtic mythology (and Jim Fitzpatrick), so we were excited about the prospect of this game.
It has really paid off! It's a simple enough game to get to grips with, but the gameplay doesn't get boring. The game is designed in such a way that you can't just figure out a system and blindly win every time. Each game is unique and every round you have to alter your strategy.
Definitely recommend! (Also very excited to have a couple of friends around soon to try out the 4-player mode)
Great game - first time ordering with boardgamer
Delighted with this game. I've been on the lookout for it for a while and I was delighted it came out here. Delivery was quick and the quality of the game was perfect. Will happily order from boardgamer again.

The game itself works well in 1v1 and I was even able to get my better half to play a few games which she enjoyed. Looking forward to trying out 3 - 4 players next which is apparently where the game really comes into it's own.
